The Last Sin Eater

“The Last Sin Eater” is an excellent movie that I would suggest every one watch. It is about a group of settlers who believe that the way to get rid of their sins is for one man from among them to “eat” their sins once they die. This means that every time there is a funeral the “sin eater” comes to take the sins of the dead. The “sin eater” is shunned by all the rest of the settlement because he has all of these sins upon him. “The Last Sin Eater” shows a wonderful example of how only Christ can take away sins and He can take the sins of even the most wretched. This would be a great movie to bring your unsaved friends to. The salvation message is spelled out very clearly through out the movie but especially at the end. It is a great story also, very heart warming.

Interesting...
Ever try Les Miserables (either the book or the older movie) as a similar attempt?
The book is SO much better than the movie.

I haven't heard of them before. What is the story line? The book is almost always SO much better than the movie. :)

Takes place in a Post-revolution France. A man was imprisoned for stealing one slice of bread, and was sentenced to work off his crime on a galley. At the end of his sentence, he couldn't find work anywhere. He ended up spending the night at the home of a bishop and stole the silver and left in the middle of the night. In the morning he was caught, but the bishop cleared him by stating that the silver was a gift to him. The story goes on... and a summary can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Mis%C3%A9rables

Oh, maybe I have heard that story. It seems like maybe I read it in the text book that Mrs. Savage goes through with her english class.

Nice review sis. Great movie too. Some places weren’t totally professional looking, but the story line made up for that.
