Dare I Say This?

I wish Thy way
But when in me myself would rise
And long for something otherwise
Then, Holy One, take sward and spear
And slay

Hello Janel. I have recently been lamenting our status as people in waiting for Christ's return. I simply tire of a crooked world and long for everything to be straight. Your poem reminds me of the consideration that anything, any amount of waiting or worry, is worth the further glorification of the King. Thank you!

BTW: It has been far too long--how is your summer going? Are you still working in the mall?
