Has it really been that long since I last updated. Wow. Here is a quote that I was very decided not to share... but then changed my mind.
A Gentleman's Conduct Toward Ladies.
Gentlemen are at liberty to invite their lady friends to concerts, operas, balls, etc.,to call upon them at their homes, to ride and drive with them, and make themselves agreeable to all young ladies to whom their company is acceptable. In fact they are at liberty to accept invitations and give them ad libitum. As soon, however, as a young gentleman neglects all others, to devote himself to a single lady, he gives that lady reason to suppose that he is particularly attracted to her, and ma give her cause to believe that she is to become engaged to him, without telling her so. A gentleman who does not contemplate matrimony should not pay too exclusive attention to any one lady.

Very true. Every Christian young man should read that.
Sad how few gentlemen there are these days. A lesson in there for all men.
(previous comment was almost word-for-word of isaacme's comment, oops)
The comments from you guys are so encouraging. The world seems to hold so few guys who believe in being gentle men. It is good know know by the example of Christian friends (and my brothers and dad) that such a thing still exists.
It is true, as has been repeated now twice. Also, to "pay exclusive attention" to "any one lady" shows a lack of focus on priorities. "Prepare thy work without and make it fit for thyself in the field, and AFTERWARDS build thine house." What happened to the days when manhood required sensibility?
Hmmm that statement makes me think of
Titus 2:6 Likewise urge the young men to be sensible.
This is given directly after a whole list of thins that older men are to do and older women are to do and young women are to strive for...but the one thing most required for young men: sensibility.
Funny you should say that....

What translation were you taking that from?
That was the NASB.
I had actually forgotten about that post you had made. (I have a lack of memory quite frequently as you well know.)
I think that is a very neat calling and very, oh so very needed!
