You Might NOT Be A Geek If.......

Your co-workers say things like ya, you seem like the type of person who would like games in real life better than on the computer.
You say things like "theres video memory, catch memory, (pause) and what else?"
Someone has to explain the difference between hard drive space and memory space to you.
You don't see why any one would want to use DOS
You don't know what USB stands for you just say memory stick
You don't like it when a customer asks what an XML Parser is because you don't know enough to explain it.
You know nothing about HTML (including what it stands for)

If You Can't See It

Well I decided to go by the theory that if you can't see it, it isn't really there when I was at the skating rink and my socks were getting all bloody. As long as my skates are on I can't see the blood so it must not be that bad right? Well guess what. It is two days later and I still am getting bloody socks even with a band-aid . (for those of you who are wondering YES I changed my socks, several times actually) Wisdom would tell one to get off the rink and get a different pair of skates, but did I listen? No, I went right on skating. I would have to stop in order to get different skates. Besides I knew that they SHOULD be the right size.

Lesson learned: when your feet begin to hurt, take your skates off! Or else you'll have stained socks......................and a great wound to brag to your brothers about.

What is a Girl to Do?

Here is my dilemma, I sweetly answer the phone “Logos Bible Software, how may I direct your call” but am received with a vigorous “ I don't think you will be able to help me little miss” Well, since I have better training and manners than to say “Well then, I won't” I decided to try lowering my voice. However after perfecting this a passerby comments “That sounded very seductive” ugggg not going to work. Okay, not too high and not to low. I can do this. After a few attempts at my “happy medium” I realize that my customers think that I am a recording that they are talking to.

Such is life.....

God's Natural Laws

I consider this more of a prompt for a discussion than a real post. So please leave comments

Recently some friends and I were talking about how we didn't really feel that it was right for women to be in the military. However, non of us could think of a verse that clearly stated that women were not supposed to be in the military. We could think of verses that discouraged a country from having female leaders which would certainly include the military. After giving it a little thought I suggested, and the other girls agreed with me, that it was one of God's “natural laws”

My question isn't about whether women should be in the military or not. It is, is there such a thing as a “Natural Law of God” and if so what things does it include?

(Gravity and the like don't count, those are obviously natural laws)

Wisdom in a Nutshell

Surely the essence of wisdom is that before we begin to act at all, or attempt to please God, w should discover what it is that God has to say about the matter.
